Acid pickling corrosion inhibitor is a chemical reagent used for corrosion inhibition treatment of metal surfaces during the acid pickling process. It can effectively limit and reduce the damage suffered by the chemical erosion process during acid washing on the metal surface, thereby improving the quality of the metal surface and maintaining better surface smoothness.
Here are some common pickling corrosion inhibitor technologies:
Adding organic acids: Adding an appropriate amount of organic acids to the acid can to some extent slow down the corrosion rate of metal surfaces and achieve the goal of corrosion inhibition. For example, adding a small amount of organic acids such as levulinic acid, succinic acid, or citric acid to sulfuric acid pickling solution can effectively alleviate corrosion on metal surfaces.
Adding surfactants: Surfactants can also be used as acid pickling corrosion inhibitors. They can reduce the tension and surface energy of the metal surface in the pickling solution, forming an adsorption layer, thereby slowing down the rate of chemical erosion. Adding a small amount of surfactants such as sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate and sodium octylsulfonate to sulfuric acid pickling solution can achieve good corrosion inhibition effects.
Foam pickling technology: foam pickling technology is a pickling method that relies on foam to evenly cover the pickling solution on the metal surface, which can reduce chemical erosion and alleviate the corrosion of surface metal. In addition, compared with traditional immersion pickling, foam pickling technology can significantly reduce wastewater discharge and environmental pollution.
Optimizing pickling process parameters: Properly adjusting the pH value, temperature, stirring strength and other process parameters of the pickling solution can effectively slow down the corrosion rate of metal surfaces. For example, during sulfuric acid pickling, lowering the temperature below 70 ℃ and controlling the pH value around 1.0 can achieve good corrosion inhibition effects.
It should be noted that selecting a suitable pickling corrosion inhibitor technology should comprehensively consider factors such as material type, pickling solution composition, process characteristics, and target performance. During use, relevant safety operating procedures and environmental requirements should be followed to minimize the impact on human health and the environment.
