Properties:
KR-164 Phosphino-Carboxylic Acid(PCA)has good dispersion property for scale of calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate in circulating cool water system. It has good scale inhibition for barium sulfate, strontium sulfate and silica scale. It has advantages in thermal stability and strong chlorine tolerance. KR-164 PCA can be used as scale and corrosion inhibitor in circulating cool water system and oilfield refill water system. KR-164 PCA has better performance than acrylic products in paper making mill, ceramic industry and etc.. It can also be used to disperse scales in boilers.

Protective measures for KR-164 PCA:
PCA, or pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, is a chemical that is used in various applications, including as a skin conditioning agent in cosmetic products. When handling PCA, it is important to follow appropriate protective measures to ensure safety. Here are some general guidelines:
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, safety glasses or goggles, and protective clothing, such as a lab coat or coveralls.
- Ventilation: Ensure good ventilation in the working area to minimize exposure to vapors. If working in an enclosed space, use local exhaust ventilation or wear respiratory protection if necessary.
- Handling: Avoid direct contact with the skin and eyes. In case of accidental contact, immediately flush the affected area with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention if needed.
- Storage: Store PCA in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from incompatible materials. Follow any specific storage requirements mentioned on the product’s safety data sheet (SDS).
- Spill and Leak Response: In case of spills or leaks, contain the material using absorbent materials (such as vermiculite or sand) and prevent it from entering drains or waterways. Clean up the spill following appropriate procedures and dispose of waste according to local regulations.
- Disposal: Dispose of PCA and its containers in accordance with local regulations. Do not pour it down the drain or discard it in the environment.
It is important to consult the specific safety data sheet (SDS) and guidance provided by the manufacturer or supplier of PCA for detailed and accurate information on handling and protective measures.
